Petrolimex Insurance Corporation (PG Insurance/PJICO) has been ranked number four in the top 10 Vietnam most reputable insurers for 2016.

The information was made public at a ceremony held to announce and grant certificates for the top 10 Vietnamese insurers of the year in Sheraton Hanoi Hotel on July 27, 2016.

The list of 2016 Top 10 Vietnam Most Reputable Insurers was selected and ranked by Vietnam Report and online newspaper Vietnamnet on the basis of three criteria being financial capacity, media credibility, and customer satisfaction towards insurance products and services offered by insurance companies.

The assessment was also based on a corporate investigation conducted in June, 2016 on the growth of capital, revenue and profits as well as development plans for new products/services and business prospects of insurance firms for 2016.

According to the assessment, PJICO made it to the fourth place out of the most Vietnamese prestigious insurance companies in 2016. With the achievement, PJICO demonstrates that a well-established insurance company must, first and foremost, have strong financial capacity and effectively manage media credibility, which are prerequisite factors influencing purchasing power of an insurance company’s customer in the market.

In the first six months of the year, PJICO’s total premium turnover reached nearly VND1.2 trillion (US$53 million), an increase of 8.8 per cent as compared to the same period last year. Total pre-tax profit was VND80.4 billion (US$3.6 million), an increase of 22.6 per cent over the same period last year.
