Pham Kien Cuong heads representative office in Cambodia
The Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Group/Petrolimex) on December 4, 2017 announced the Decision 693 dated November 29, 2017 on appointment of Pham Kien Cuong as Head of Petrolimex representative office in Cambodia as of December 1, 2017, replacing Dam Ta Nho who is assigned another task according to individual aspirations.
Petrolimex Party Secretary – Board of Management chairman Bui Ngoc Bao and Board of Management member and Director General Pham Duc Thang hand over the appointment decision to Pham Kien Cuong (second, right) and assign Dam Ta Nho (second, left) to new task
Addressing the ceremony, Petrolimex Party Secretary – Board of Management chairman Bui Ngoc Bao spoke highly of the accomplishment of Dam Ta Nho as Head of Petrolimex representative office in Cambodia over the past seven years, acting as a bridge accelerating the temporary import and reexport of Petrolimex petroleum to Cambodia, and promoting the friendship and business cooperation for mutual benefits.
With the establishment of a representative office in Cambodia, Petrolimex expects to develop the trading of petroleum and other commodities in this market. The representative office functions are general without any direct involvement in business activities, but it is a focal point to collect information, and the basis for the Group leadership to conduct business activities.
On the time being, especially after the equitisation, the Group activities have increasingly expanded, thus, requirements for head of the representative office must be broad. Head of the representative office must stay involved in various business fields rather than petroleum to search for, and explore sources of information to provide to for the Group leadership. Therefore, Petrolimex appointed Pham Kien Cuong – Director of Petrolimex Joint Stock Insurance Company (Pjico) Nam Dinh – who has a lot of experience in the field of petroleum as well as industries such as transportation, construction, import and export, among others and the ability to establish cooperation relationships with customers to the Head of Petrolimex representative office in Cambodia.
To embark on the new job, Cuong will soon take over work from Nho and work with other related divisions and departments.
