Petrolimex has affirmed its leading role in stabilising the market, ensuring the supply of petroleum for the economy, and meeting the essential needs of the people in all situations.
In the context that was more difficult than favourable in 2023, but with the trust, companionship, support and cooperation of the customers, Petrolimex affirms its efforts to fulfill the mission of ensuring the national energy security and achieve excellent and comprehensive results beyond all targets, including in revenue, production output, profit, State budget contribution, labour productivity, income and job for 30,000 workers. Petrolimex was honoured among the Top 3 companies with the largest revenue scale in Vietnam by VNReport; Top 5 businesses contributing the most to the State budget. Petrolimex is the first and only petroleum business that has successfully launched the use of e-invoices for each sale since July 1, 2023 across all 2,700 petrol stations throughout the country, contributing to establishing a healthier, transparent and law-abiding petroleum market. This is an essential practical ground for the Government, the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Finance and the General Department of Taxation to strongly direct and require electronic invoices to be issued immediately after each sale at all petrol stations in the coming time. Petrolimex is proud of being one of businesses that have allocated a significant amount of resources, equivalent to 5 per cent of its profits (about VND200 billion or US$8 million) for social welfare activities, supporting the poor, healthcare and education in 2023.
In 2024 and the following years, Petrolimex is determined to drastically implement two large-scale strategies at the same time, that is the Comprehensive Digital Transformation Strategy and the Green Energy Transition Strategy. Accordingly, Petrolimex plans to provide exceptional experiences for retail, wholesale, and general customers across the country by introducing a contactless payment system using RFID technology and smart cameras at petrol stations, and Petrolimex sales app – version 2024. The Group will continue to pioneer and further promote consulting and distribution of greener and cleaner petroleum products to customers, such as E5 gasoline, Ron 95 V gasoline, EURO 5 standard diesel, and will initially study and test clean energy in the future including Hydrogen, Ammonia, Biofuel, SAF…
With all the understanding and aspiration mentioned above, on behalf of the Group leadership, Director General Dao Nam Hai expressed sincere gratitude for the motivations and resources that customers have devoted to Petrolimex over the years. At the same time, Petrolimex hopes to have closer and more comprehensive cooperation and engagement with the customers in 2024 and the coming years, not only in the traditional petroleum sector but also in other areas within Petrolimex ecosystem such as lubricants, chemicals, asphalt, gas, insurance, transportation, and mechanical construction on the basis of shared benefits whilst overcoming difficulties and challenges together, develop together, advance further together and strive for a greener and more sustainable future.
