On October 18, 2022, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) and its Japan’s strategic partner ENEOS Corporation officially inaugurated car wash and repair services in line with latest Japanese standards and technologies at petrol station No 84 in Long Bien District, Hanoi.

Attending the inauguration ceremony were Board of Management member – Petrolimex Deputy Director General, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son; Head of Petrolimex Strategy & Investment Department Strategy and Investment Department cum Head of Petrolimex Kaizen Department, Mr. Tran Tuan Linh; Director of Petrolimex Hanoi Hoang Van Binh; and Chief Executive Officer of ENEOS Vietnam Co., Ltd., Mr. Kimura Ken. The event marks the cooperation between two Groups after nearly one year of studying appropriate operating models and services to satisfy needs and tastes of Vietnamese consumers.

ENEOS, which is Japan’s largest energy company, is currently a strategic shareholder of Petrolimex, owning about 13 per cent of the Group’s shares. With its experience in operating car care stores in Japan, ENEOS believes that a similar model will provide new experiences for customers in Vietnam through high-quality car wash, maintenance and coating services applied Japan’s latest technologies with affordable price.

At the Petrolimex petrol station, customers will enjoy added services including car wash, car maintenance, and car coating using Japan’s top-class coating materials and chemicals which enable to keep cars beautiful without putting any physical pressure on the car body and doing any harm to the environment. Additionally, highest standards on customer services, hospitality, and comfort in line with Japanese styles will also be applied for the first time at the petrol station. 

Petrolimex is building its development strategy to 2030 and vision to 2045, with the aim to become a leading supplier of green energy in Vietnam. The Group’s short-term goal is to transform the current petrol stations into smart, modern, and environmentally-friendly stations which are fully integrated with facilities such as: electric vehicle charging; car wash, maintenance, and repairing, coffee shop, restaurant, rest areas, etc. along with the cashless payment and other professional customer services.

Petrolimex possesses a network of 2,700 petrol station, and nearly 3,000 agents/franchised dealers nationwide. The pilot operation of car wash and maintenance services using Japanese technology at petrol station No 84 demonstrates the first step in Petrolimex’s plan to upgrade and compete the system of convenient and smart petrol stations, offering customers with new experiences while adding values to Petrolimex petrol stations, which helps Petrolimex stands out and enhances its competitiveness.
