Communication Conference on developing a wide base for oil service station management software (EGAS)
In the morning of August 30, 2013in Hanoi, Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) held a communication conference on developing a wide base for oil service station management software, phase 1.
Attending the conference were Director General of Petrolimex Tran Van Thinh, Vice Director General Tran Ngoc Nam, Chairmen, Directors and professional officers of petroleum member companies.

Vice Director General of Petrolimex, Chief of EGAS Software Project Tran Ngoc Namreporting on an interim pilot development at 76 service stations
An interim report of pilot development of project at 11 stations of Petrolimex Hanoi and 55 stations of Petrolimex Saigon shows:
- EGAS software meets present requirement according to Petrolimex stipulations.
- EGAS data base follows in more details and more systematically than the old one. Data were fully and precisely integrated by SAP on Data center,
- In the course of operation, communication connection between EGAS center and EGAS service station is always fluent and stable.

Petrolimex Director General Tran Van Thinh highly valued the results gained by the Project management team and officers of Petrolimex Joint Stock Information and Telecommunication Company (PIACOM)
On the basis of successful development at 76 stations in the pilot stage, on Aug. 1, 2013 Petrolimex signed a principle agreement on a wide-base development the EGAS .Software with PIACOM to serve as a basis for application by units in this sector.

Constructed by PIACOM by Petrolimex order, EGAS lies in the overall project of enterprise resources management ERP with the role of supplying incoming data for SAP which is going on in Petrolimex. EGAS comprises software and integration with automation contents. Reception of pump signals, automatic calibration of tanks and integration with payment by cards. EGAS is the tool for transparent business operation at oil stations. EGAS is really a comprehensive solution for service station management. .
