On January 6, 2025, leaders of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) and the Bac Ninh Petroleum Company (Petrolimex Bac Ninh) awarded Certificates of Merit and extraordinary bonuses to the collective and individual employees of Petrol Station No. 10, Petrolimex Bac Ninh, in recognition of their outstanding achievements in promptly responding to fire prevention and firefighting at the station.

At 18:09 on January 4, a customer accidentally crashed into a fuel pump while reversing their car to buy gasoline at the store, causing a fire in the sales area. Immediately after the incident, the petrol station’s shift leader, Do Thi Tam, ordered a halt to sales, shut off all electricity to the store, and shouted to alert people to the fire. Shift workers Trinh Thi Ly and Tran Van Hieu quickly called the Fire Police (114), coordinated with the shift leader to evacuate customers and vehicles, and simultaneously used the store's firefighting equipment to extinguish the fire. 

The fire was promptly extinguished, preventing it from spreading and, most importantly, causing no loss of life or significant damage to the unit's property. Afterwards, the store immediately reported the incident to higher authorities, secured the scene, and cooperated with the authorities to investigate and address the responsible person and vehicle.

In recognition of their outstanding achievement, the Group's leaders and Petrolimex Bac Ninh's leaders awarded Certificates of Merit to the collective and individual employees of Petrol Station No. 10. The swift and effective handling of the gasoline and oil fire incident not only demonstrates the courage and professionalism of the Petrolimex Bac Ninh workforce, but also affirms the quality of the regular and continuous training provided to all Petrolimex petrol station employees regarding fire prevention and fighting. This training ensures the safety of people and property.
